Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived in a musical family on 9 August 1993, in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is the cousin of daughter to singing superstar Dionne. The Bodyguard's performance as a film and its soundtrack were not appreciated but the Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You as well as the album accompanying it were top of the charts across the world for months.
